Cap Rocat, a Small Luxury Hotel of the World, is a restored military fortress in Cala Blava (Bellavista), Llucmajor.
This remarkable hotel in the remarkable setting of a nature reserve is home to an annual music festival - three nights in August.
The opening concert is an acknowledgement of the 100th anniversary of the death of Italian composer Giacomo Puccini. American-Canadian soprano Sondra Radvanovsky and German tenor Jonas Kaufmann with the Cap Rocat Festival Choir and the Balearic Symphony Orchestra will be performing works by Puccini (from ‘Tosca’, ‘Madama Butterfly’ and ‘La fanciulla del West’) and the intermezzo from Pietro Mascagni’s ‘Cavalleria rusticana’.
