The 14-year-old British boy who fell from a Playa de Muro hotel second-floor balcony on Tuesday night has died. Son Espases Hospital reported on Thursday morning that he had suffered very serious injuries.

The incident at the Eix Lagotel in Playa de Muro occurred just after midnight. His mother, who had been asleep, heard her son cry out for help from the balcony; he was hanging from the railings. She tried but was unable to prevent him from falling.
