It’s probably fair to say that, for most people, food products from Soller would tend to mean olives, oranges and prawns.
Maybe this is a reason, therefore, for holding a fair to demonstrate that Soller gastronomy has much to offer meat eaters. The second meat and sausage fair and market will start with the opening of an exhibition about the history of “embotits” made in Soller, itself based on a book about this history.
For sampling purposes, there will be barbecues throughout the day, while for further gastronomy heritage purposes there is a guided tour of Soller embotit (sausage) makers. There will also be folk dance, pipers and an acoustic concert.
