Ahead of the Jethro Tull concert in Palma next month (February 24 at the auditorium), the Jethro Tull fans association in Spain is staging a tribute.
Tullianos has been holding conventions since 2003. The centre of this fan activity is the seaside town of Gavà in Catalonia, and it was Gavà where Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull appeared for what was a mini-convention (caused by Covid) in November 2021.
The band's leader is an active supporter of the association, which has put together the Tullianos Acoustic Band - a five piece of Alex Mevi (flute and vocals) plus guitarists and bass (Briton Pat Rowbottom).
While they are a tribute act, they are perhaps somewhat unusual in also being members of a fan club for a British band that started in the 1960s and is still going strong.
