Scottish indie pop for The Long Fade Out

The Little Kicks are an indie pop band from Aberdeen who have been around since 2012.

Their fifth studio album was released to critical acclaim in September last year. They are in a tradition, one might say, of Scottish bands like Deacon Blue (once they discovered alternative rock) and Travis.

And very good they are, too; strong harmonies, infectious guitar hooks and analogue synthesizers for good measure. Singer Steven Milne says that they were contacted before the pandemic by a promoter in Mallorca who was a big fan of the band.

This, I guess, was Joan Andreu Juan, who has been behind the Pecan Pie events on the island for several years. Pecan Pie is coming to an end, and The Little Kicks have been invited to headline one of a series of concerts dubbed The Long Fade Out.
