The dreamlike Anna Mieke

Anna Mieke is an Irish folk singer-songwriter from County Wicklow.

The recipient of awards in her native Ireland, her music goes beyond the country’s borders, as she has been influenced by the time she has spent away from Ireland - in New Zealand, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, Switzerland and Spain.

But at heart she is an Irish singer, blessed with a beautiful voice and the conjurer of nostalgic images supported by an at-times Spanish guitar fingerpicking style and the bouzouki. Her second album, Theatre, was released in November last year. Dreamlike and enchanting, the Sons de Nit (Sounds of the Night) series of concerts can have had few more appropriate voices for serenading the night.
