Dear Sir,

IAN Morrison's letter (Saturday 2nd, March) highlights the rise in menus and other prices. It is ironical and a double whammy, to note that the British Pound is in free-fall, down to 1.26 euro from 1.50 euro last summer.

Those of us dependent on pensions from the U.K. are suffering as no compensation is provided for this drop. My pension and that of my wife's, have seen a derisory rise of TWO PERCENT (due in April) obliterated by the nearly FIFTEEN PERCENT fall in our incomes!
