DEAR SIR

Libya - Oil speaks louder than words

AS we watch yet another war unfold before our eyes I note with interest the many concerned political leaders who voice their outrage at events in Libya and queue up to defend the innocent civilians caught up in this nightmare.

I wonder where were these concerned leaders when the innocent civilians of Gaza cried out for help as Israeli war planes bombed them into submission?
Few people will mourn the passing of Gaddafi, a corrupt dictator no better nor worse than the many other corrupt dictators who masquerade as heads of states, and yet I feel the only winners in this will be the big oil companies and arms manufacturers.

Is it a case of oil speaks louder than words or is Zimbabwe and Myanmar next on the list?
Yours sincerely
S. Humphries
