I.D CARDS

DEAR SIR
RE the letter to the Editor on page 2 (Bulletin Sat May 30th)
If Mr Page is unhappy with the “speed at which things move here”, perhaps he ought to move back to wherever he came from (I suspect the U.K) and try living under that beaurocracy! Another thought. Cut up his credit card and pay cash at the shops! No Problema

DEAR SIR
REFERENCE your headline in Friday's Majorca Bulletin. If civil liberty/human rights is the reason why UK Nationals are no longer issued with the old style residence cards i.e. the UK Government doesn't issue ID cards to its nationals, then surely the simple answer would be to give UK expats the choice of opting in or out of the old system?

That way those people that object to carrying an ID Card can struggle on with the green piece of paper and a copy of their passport.

RAFA NADAL ADVERT
DEAR SIR

IT would appear that somebody advised the marketing people in charge of the Rafa Nadal TV campaign that a good place to advertise was on ITV during Coronation Street - sound advice indeed, and they listened to it (sort of) because it was on in between breaks in last Monday's two episodes ... but sadly it was on ITV2 at 1.35 in the morning!
