Dear Sir, IN response to the article published in the Majorca Daily Bulletin on Friday 1 July by Revd. Robert Ellis, we are extremely concerned to read about the disappointing experience that he encountered at our airport. With over 4.4 million passengers passing through the doors of Nottingham East Midland Airport every year, we take both customer service and feedback very seriously. Nottingham East Midlands Airport has invested more than £2.5 million to improve the whole customer experience over the spring period. This included a significant extension to the current departure lounge, a new bar, executive lounge, two new shops and brand new seating and flooring throughout. This will be supplemented over the forthcoming months with the introduction of a new catering company responsible for the largest food hall. This will initially result in over 25 new food offers and £200'000 investment in a broader selection of hot meals, a wok station, omelette bar, salads and deli counter. We are also proud to announce the opening of Costa Coffee on Thursday 28 July to complement this improved retail offering. During the autumn/winter period further investment will be made in developing a waiter service restaurant in the Departure Lounge. I am sure that you will agree that these are exciting times in the continuing growth of Nottingham East Midlands Airport. We always encourage customer feedback and openly welcome suggestions. Next time Revd. Ellis is flying from NEMA, we would be happy to treat him to more than homemade egg sandwiches and a flask of tea. Nottingham East Midlands Airport.
