Dear Sir

CAN anyone put me out of my misery about the strange flaming object in the sky above port de Soller last night?

Many holidaymakers watched it cross the night sky just before midnight - even two policemen stopped to view it before the white object fell into the sea.

In the sky it was clearly on fire but when it floated on the sea it appeared to have a light of some kind inside.

As a journalist of 30 plus years in the world of true cynicism I am sure there is a rational explanation.

Looking at my photo memory card greatly enlarged today it appears to have been a trail of flame.
