I s it not time that politicians from all UK parties gave up the annual conferences as they have become a total farce preaching only to the converted, making promises which are never kept and resenting any critic who challenges a speaker to justify his speech.
The conferences only appear to be a time for the faithful to meet and party for a week. To anyone who is not interested the conferences appear to be a waste of time and, I am sure, a lot of money.
