THE Scots, who have so long supported this wonderful island, are once again being made to feel the poor relations in Europe.
We are unable to fly directly from Scotland to Majorca during the winter season even having carried out extensive trawls of airlines and routes. Is there some reason why Scots are not able to secure a flight to Majorca other than airlines simply not wanting to offer the service?
Owning property in Santa Ponsa, where many a wonderful holiday was spent, looks like being a thing of the past. Many now find great difficulty in travelling to Majorca and are giving serious consideration to selling these properties since we cannot travel to them. A serious issue for the island as a whole since we do spend money on the island and support local business. Why would we want to keep property and pay taxes, support local businesses, and boost the island when we cannot travel to the island?
Perhaps someone from the airlines or the Tourism Ministry can explain what is happening?

DEAR SIR,
I have been a regular visitor to Majorca during November and December flying DIRECT from SCOTLAND to PALMA. Are you aware that there NO direct flights this year? This cannot be good for the hotels or the shops Christmas shopping etc.
