As you note in Saturday's Daily B we residents cannot vote in General Elections in the UK nor in Spain. This is undemocratic
Socialist Governments in general have little interest in the ex-patriot vote which they assume to be right wing. Possibly because of this the then Labour Government introduced the 15 year rule in Britain. With the political change in London and the expected switch in Madrid the time might be right to push for review.
We should not expect the right to vote both in the UK and Spain and of the two I prefer Spain.
We also have our most experienced local politician Dr Kate Mentink on the case together with her group Europeans for Europe. Let's hope they and we Daily B readers can turn their name into a reality.
