To the summer sales which are bringing bargain hunters in force to the centre of Palma. The economic recession has meant that retailers have been forced to cut their prices, in some instances, by up to 50 percent. Both tourists and residents have responded snapping up bargains. The only low point is that only a small number of shopes will actually be open today (Sunday). It may be the sales period and the height of the summer season but some retailers will never change their ways.
