Dear Sir,

With the Islands' governing bodies on the verge of bankruptcy (D.B 6/8), isn't it time that the last ““lot”” were called to account of their gross- mismanagement/misuse of public funds?

There are rumours that a local Majorcan is considering taking legal action against the last administration- might I suggest that “we” the taxpayers demand such action.

For too long politicians have deemed themselves “untouchable” it's time to reverse this trend, especially as they are still refusing to accept that the island is in a dire financial state (as was shown during yesterday's confrontation between past and present health ministers).

Perhaps if examples were made of those responsible during the last administration, present and future politicians would be more prudent when spending our hard earned cash.

The present state of unaccountability cannot be allowed to continue.
