No private rentals! I used to think having a holiday home on Majorca was heaven, I am beginning to think it could be hell.
We have invested vast sums of money into the economy of the island.
We have paid our taxes, employed local people, spent huge amounts in shops and now we are going to be hounded off of the island.
If the property market was more buoyant I would quite happily say goodbye to Majorca.
I would miss our lovely friends but having a property there is becoming a burden, as soon as things pick up we will sell and never regret it.
What a sad thing, and I am sure we are not the only second home owners who feel like this.
Get rid of us, and let's hope your hoteliers can fill the gap - I doubt it.
