Dear Sir,
I am a regular fan of your columnist, Hugh Ash, but I had to write to compliment him on his Sunday comment piece (“Men can be morons but women can’t throw and they’re quiz show ditherers”) because it was one of the funniest, wittiest columns I have read in any newspaper in years.
Even my wife was in stitches of laughter after reading it and that takes some doing. Whatever entertainment the media brings to Christmas - and I am not counting on the BBC or ITV to bring much more than stale repeats - Mr Ash has made our holiday.
