The practical classes in the second dog training course organised by EMAYA, the water board which is also in charge of keeping the city's streets clean, got underway yesterday at the Krekovic park in the Polígono de Llevant. The classes are run by dog trainer José Molinero, who said that 80 per cent of the dogs who completed the first course were well trained at the end of it. The current course will be held on the next five Saturdays, and owners are asked to spend an average of 20 minutes a day in training their dogs between classes. The owners are being trained at the same time, not only do they learn how to look after their dogs, they are also taught how to clean up after them in the street.
