Inca's annual agricultural fair, Dijous Bo, which is Majorca most spectacular event and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors, could be suspended because of the weather. Inca Town Council was yesterday advised by the Balearic Ministry for the Interior to keep a close eye on weather conditions, with hurricane force winds and torrential rains forecast for today and tomorrow, and seriously consider suspending the event. The warning from the government was not welcomed by the Mayor of Inca, Pere Rotger, who argued that the annual fair must go ahead in keeping with its long tradition. Some 200'000 people are expected to descend on Inca tomorrow, however, today the chief of Local Police, Councillor or fairs, Joan Rubert and the Mayor will meet representatives from the Interior Ministry to study the latest weather forecast and discuss what to do.
