The Guardia Civil has opened an investigation into the reported rape of a 13-year-old British girl in Alcudia. The report was made by the victim's parents. The incident occurred last Saturday night when the girl was apparently raped by four men. The girl, on holiday with her parents, was apparently trying to hitch a lift back to the hotel when two men, coloured according to the report, stopped to give her a lift. However, the girl who gave directions to her hotel, was not driven back to the establishment, but apparently to an apartment near the resort where two other men were waiting. While the police have ordered a media black-out on the investigations because of the girl's age, it is understood that eventually she managed to escape and return to the hotel and her worried parents. The girl arrived in a severe state of shock and the Guardia Civil were called and she was taken to a clinic where an examination appears to have proved she had been sexually assaulted. The investigation continues.
