A 55-year-old British male, wanted for questioning in the UK in connection with a number of sexual assault charges, has been arrested by the National Police in Majorca. According to the search and arrest warrant issued by Interpol, the offences were committed between 1975 and 1990 and the victims were apparently the suspect's own children and those of his partner. The National Police in Palma were tipped off about the suspect's possible whereabouts by the police in the UK. They believed that the suspect may well have been living in the Cala Major area of the island. The National Police mounted a long and exhaustive investigation, which eventually enabled detectives to track down the British suspect. It is understood that the Briton is being held while his extradition back to the United Kingdom is being arranged.
