By Howard Mullen EACH year the congregation of St Andrews in Puerto Pollensa makes generous donations to charity. This year is no exception. The “Thank God It's Friday” dinners have contributed much to the donations to charity, so it was appropriate that the most recent charity donation should be made at the “Thank God It's Friday” Christmas dinner.

Members of the congregation were joined by Jackie Codd and Sue Chelton from Age Concern Majorca at the Tango Ca Vostra restaurant in Puerto Pollensa, where the Rev. Michael Redfearn presented Jackie Codd with a cheque for 4000€ for Age Concern Majorca.

The money will be used to help the Age Concern Christmas Hamper appeal and support work throughout the year for people in need.
The Anglican congregation in Puerto Pollensa has a commitment to donating at least 10% of its income over the year to charity.
The “Thank God It's Friday” dinners have been a popular way of contributing to the congregation's donations to charity, and thanks must go to Bernadette Choules, who has organised these events which have been such a success.

The Christmas Dinner was so sucessful, that Jackie Codd, the President of Age Concern, won the raffle prize of a bottle of whisky, which will become a raffle prize for a later Age Concern Majorca event
Tony Wilson won the prize of a dinner for two at Tango Ca Vostra.
The congregation of St Andrews in Puerto Pollensa contribute a lot to the needs of people across the island, and after leaving such a pleasant event, one could not help feel that again they had contributed to making sure that people in need would indeed have a Happy Christmas.
