Palma.—A 25-year-old British holiday maker was stabbed three times in the thorax during a fight in the early hours of yesterday morning in Magalluf.
According to the Guardia Civil, the fight between a group of British tourists broke out just after 1am on the terrace of the one of the resort's hotels.

Paramedics tried to treat the stabbed Briton at the scene but he was eventually rushed to Son Espases Hospital where he underwent immediate surgery while others injured in the fights were taken to local clinics or treated at the scene. In the meantime the Guardia Civil and Calvia Local Police began questioning eyewitnesses and those involved in the clashes and eventually located the alleged culprit, another Briton aged just 17.

According to the police, the fight broke out over a girl, but what ever the reason, he was taken into Local Police custody. About 45 minutes later, Palma Local Police received a series of calls from a night club in calle Manacor.

Apparently a fight had broken out between two men and one of them had attacked the other with a broken bottle of beer causing serious multiple wounds to the victim.

However, a quick thinking doorman administered immediate medical treatment until the paramedics arrived and were able to rush the victim to hospital.
Police later praised the doorman for his quick actions which quite probably saved the attacked man's life.
The 29-year-old aggressor was arrested at the scene.
