PALMA
A group of around 30 doctors and members of the medical staff at the newly opened Son Espases Hospital staged a protest yesterday over the continuing deficiencies inside the new hospital.

It was not the first protest to have been mounted by medical staff and yesterday, Isidrio Torres, the leader of the Balearic Medical Union, said that the main problem is that the authorities gave the green light to move into the new hospital too quickly. “It's all been a mad rush, hence there are numerous problems, such as water leaks, being uncovered every day,” he said. “And they're making it hard for medical teams to work properly,” he added.
