A new Charity Shop in Magalluf opened at the weekend and Bulletin columnist Wendy Peters cut the ribbon at ‘La Tienda – The Shop' where owners Jacquie Buttle, Valerie Hendry and Carol Bayley had a full compliment of valued volunteer assistants on hand to cope with the influx of customers welcoming them with cava and canapés.

The opening day was encouraging; customers searching for bargains were successful happily clutching bags full of the quality goods on offer.
Jacquie who hopes to help the local community and local charities commented, “We are satisfied with the response, but it has been hectic getting everything ready.

“Yesterday we received around 700 videos kindly donated by the owner of Video Calvia so it's been a huge task to sort and display them and I couldn't have done it without Morag, Sue, Natalie and my other helpers who've all pitched in. “We will be happy to accept more items of clothing or bric-a-brac, but they must be good quality items”.
