Palma.—The Balearics is preparing for its big day tomorrow and a whole series of events are taking place. Tomorrow, (Friday) is a pub lic holiday in honour of Balearic Day. Yesterday, a medieval market was being set-up along Palma´s sea front which is expected to open today.

Concerts, sporting events and exhibitions have all been organised for the big bank holiday weekend. The only low point for organisers at the moment is the weather, with the Palma Met office forecasting that the cold weather will continue.

Thousands of people are expected to head to the medieval market in Palma tomorrow from across the island.
