The newly elected leader of the Balearic Socialist Party, Francina Armengol, accused the Balearic President, Jose Ramon Bauza, of only calling meetings with the main opposition party for photo opportunities and not to seriously discuss the region's mounting problems as claimed. “It's a big play for him,” said Armengol adding that of all of the strategies the two have so far agreed, none have been put into action. Bauza struck back denying the claim pointing out that while he had taken on board the Socialists's suggestions, their track record during the previous government does not exactly give them grounds to lecture the new administration.
