Palma.—Spanish airport authority AENA yesterday announced that it is going to introduce a charge for using luggage trolleys at the country's seven busiest airports which includes Palma.

AENA intends to charge a euro per trolley in a bid to raise around 3.2 million euros per year.
A date has not been set for when the charge is going to be introduced but it is expected to be in place before the summer season gets under way.
However, AENA said yesterday that trolleys for departing traveller will continue to be free, only those arriving will be charged the fee which AENA has stressed is far lower than those at airports in the UK, for example.
