PALMA
THE British Consulate has renewed its agreement with the 112 emergency services which gives staff access to the co-ordination centre in case of urgent need.

Currently, it is only the British Consulate that has this level of access allowing officials from the Consulate to work alongside their colleagues from the emergency services.

Paul Abrey, the British Consul, said yesterday that he was very pleased that the agreement had been renewed and underlined its importamce. “The 112 emergency service headquarters has fantastic installations and we are very lucky that we have been included in their plans. It allows Consular staff complete access to all their facilities, information and equipment and gives us a seat on their crisis management committee.”
