Madrid.—The Central Government Delegate to the Balearics, Teresa Palmer Tous, yesterday accompanied the Mayor of Palma, Mateo Isern, to officially inaugurate the Fira del Ram fair.

The annual fair ground has been up and running for the past few weeks and will remain open to the public until April but yesterday was the chance for the authorities to have some fun while officially declaring the fair open.

Cutting the ribbon
Isern and Tous were joined by members of the Balearics Association of Attractions and they also attended the cutting of the ribbon by the Central Delegate and the Mayor.

Once the official duties were over, it was then time for some fun and one of the first attractions Isern headed for was the dodgems on which he had a great time.

He and Palmer then jumped aboard some of the exciting and exhilarating rides, many of which are new this year and promise some serious thrills and spills for visitors.

The fair ground is at Son Fuster which is near the Son Castello Industrial estate and is open every day and well into the evening with a vast arrange of attractions for people of all ages making it great entertainment for all the family.
