Palma.—The National Police confirmed yesterday that a total of 12 people were arrested and seven drugs outlets closed down in Operation Laberinto which was carried out in the Palma neighbourhood of La Soleded on Wednesday.

Of the 12 arrested, one is a woman and all are aged between 20 and 31.
And, as a result of the operation, 112 Cannabis plants were seized, three kilos of marijuana ready for sale along with varying quantities of cocaine, heroin and hashish along with equipment commonly used by drugs dealers such as precision scales.

A significant amount of cash was also confiscated by the police. The investigation was sparked by a tip off by a local resident who complained about a sharp increase in drug related activities in the area.
