MAJORCA'S great charity raising campaign continues next week when Robert Winsor MBE hosts his eighth celebrity golf tournaments to raise funds for local disabled and needy children. The event kicks off at the Real Golf de Bendinat golf club with a welcome dinner and then two days of celebrity tournaments at the club before the final gala dinner, cabaret and auction at the Santa Ponsa Country Club. Last year Winsor raised a record 156'000 euros and this year is aiming to smash that figure.
When the guests and celebrities sit down for the welcome dinner and silent auction, Winsor will have already raised 100'000 euros, so last year's record is not going to be hard for Winsor to beat. Ron Atkinson, Jasper Carrott OBE, Brain Close CBE, Mike England, Joe Goodman, Karl Howman, Norman Hunter, John Miles and Lance Percival are just some of the celebrities giving up their time to help Winsor this year.
