THE Medieval Market, which is the heart of the religious Corpus Christi programmes, has 54 craft stalls and can be visited today and tomorrow.
The market is located at Bosc de la Seu, which is at the foot of the Cathedral steps. The Vicepresident of the Majorca Craft Association for Fairs and Markets, Francisco Rojas, said that “currently there are no places on the islands that sell high quality arts and crafts products, like those that can be found at the Medieval Market”. There are many local and traditional products on sale, as well as many products from the peninsula, for example herbal medicines from Jaen, cakes from the Basque region, sausages from the Pyrenees and chocolate from Girona. The Medieval Market is “added value and has enriched the Corpus Christi festivities which are currently taking place”, said the deputy Mayor for Tourism and Promotion of the city, Joana Barceló.
