Palma.—One of the world's largest super yachts moored up in the Club de Mar in Palma yesterday.
She was commissioned in 1984 from the ship yard of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. One year later the steel motor yacht was completed and handed over to the owner. It is estimated that the cost of O' Mega at the time of construction was 52 million euros. It was number 29 in the Power & Motor Yacht magazine's list of the World's 100 Largest Yachts 2008. Today, she is still considered one of the wonders of the seas and costs around 525'000 euros per week to charter. O`Mega is well-appointed with many luxury amenities. On the main deck, the main salon is finished with mahogany accents and is designed to accommodate many guests comfortably. The formal dining room, adjacent to the main salon, serves up to 32 guests. The upper salon features a piano bar, oversize sofas and a 50 inch plasma TV with full surround sound. She has 16 guest cabins.
