Palma.— The crew of the Royal Frigate HMS Richmond presided over a special ceremony on the Illa del Rei in Mahon Harbour to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the military hospital built by the British.

The event was attended by a host of local dignitaries including the Commander of the Richmond, Captain Mike Walliker, the Honorary Consul to Minorca, Deborah Heyler and the Military Attaché in Madrid, Frederick Price. A cocktail party has already been held on board the Richmond which departs tomorrow.
