Palma city council saved over two million euros in overtime last year.
Only 1'220.605 euros were spent compared to the 3'336.646 in 2011, a pattern the authorities hope to maintain this year, saying that they cannot afford to pay them. Police and Fire Brigades were the services which suffered the most.
