PALMA EBERHARD Grosske, spokesman for the Bloc coalition on Palma City Council yesterday urged the Socialist Mayor, Aina Calvo, to “rethink” her plans to set up bar, restaurant and café terraces down the Ramblas.

With reference to last Wednesday's announcement by the Mayor that she had given the green light to allowing traders along the Ramblas to extend their services to the public by operating on terraces, Grosske expressed concern over what he saw as a “new policy of occupying public walkways and open space with businesses.”
