The “grandfather of Soller” dies

THE “grandfather of Soller” and one of the oldest people in the Balearics, Josep Maria Puig Morell, died on Thursday aged 105.
Puig was the Honorary President of the Soller Railway and his death has been felt by the entire local community. Nearly everybody in the area knew him and he was extremely highly thought of and respected. Only recently, Soller Council placed a bench bearing his name in Calle Bonany so Don Pep could use it to take a break during his daily strolls around the town.
