UK crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers yesterday confirmed that one of Britain's Most Wanted individuals, James Tomkins has been arrested under the multi-agency campaign Operation Captura.

Tomkins, who was wanted for the high profile murder of Rocky Dawson in 2006, was arrested yesterday in Marbella as a result of a joint campaign between the Metropolitan Police, SOCA and the Spanish National Police.

Spanish National Police UDYCO teams from Madrid, Malaga and Marbella sent plain and uniformed armed officers to an address in Puerto Banus, Marbella.
At 4pm the fugitive attempted to evade capture from the Spanish police by jumping out the window of the address.
The Spanish authorities used air support to track Tomkins who was quickly arrested.
