As the Bulletin reported yesterday, some hotels are fully booked this month mainly with British holiday makers searching for some last minute summer sunshine, but the paper has also learnt that a number of hotels had had to issue ‘stop sales’ orders to British tour operators because they are also fully booked for the first weeks of October and some hotels have decided to stay open until the end of the month to meet demand.
However, most of the island’s hotels are going to close as pretty much planned at the end of October.
Demand or nor, sources have told the Bulletin that they are not prepared to gamble with the weather after what will have proven to have been a very good summer season.
And it appears that one reason for that is that the package holiday is back in fashion.
