Teachers claim TIL trilingual system is badly thought out and undermines Catalan

Palma.—With the unions and the Balearic government now locked in a legal war over the new controversial TIL trilingual teaching system, the Bulletin yesterday spoke to teachers and teaching bodies in order to uncover what is really behind the teacher dispute and strike which is now into its second week.

The Balearic government yesterday won the first battle of the legal war when the Balearic High Court over ruled suspending the introduction of TIL this term, but the unions have vowed to take the matter to a higher level.

However, teachers and teaching associations warned the Bulletin yesterday that this is a very "hot topic" and is not going to die down easily.
