Newsdesk TWENTY-TWO fifth year students from St Aidan's High School are about to enjoy a week-long exchange trip to Majorca. The Spanish Higher students will jet out here to warmer, if not a little damp, climes in an attempt to hone their language skills at the University of the Balearicss.

They will also visit partner schools for class visits and take in some local cultural events.
Teacher, Caroline Gill, said: “Since Spanish was introduced into the school five years ago it has become more and more popular. “The exchange is a fantastic way to not only put into practice what they have learned in class, but also enjoy a different environment and culture.” The trip will strengthen the partnership between North Lanarkshire Council and the education services in the Balearics.
This Scottish-Spanish partnership has also seen children from Majorcan schools visit North Lanarkshire.
