Palma.Oscar winning actress Halle Berry was wheeled from a Palma clinic yesterday with a bandaged leg and appeared to be in pain in a major blow to the Hollywood blockbuster Cloud Atlas which is being filmed on the island.
It was unclear yesterday how she had hurt her leg but as the photographs show she is unable to walk and will probably be out of action for some time.
Last weekend she had been filming scenes for Cloud Atlas in Glasgow which involved running in 1970s style high heeled boots. She won praise in the British media for being able to run in this sort of footwear. One newspaper even remarked that it was quite amazing that she didn't suffer any injury. Perhaps, her footwear had something to do with her injury.
Just a week ago Halle Berry was photographed walking hand-in-hand with her French boyfriend in Puerto Soller and going on the Soller tram with her daughter. She looked a picture of happiness. Yesterday, it was a different story and she looked in pain and rather uncomfortable in the wheelchair. Berry stars in the film alongside Tom Hanks who is also on the island at the moment. Filming is taking place in the Soller area aboard a British flagged replica galleon which is moored in the port.
