A 39-year-old Hungarian man is being held by police after the death of his Romanian partner in a Palmanova apartment block at the weekend.
Forensic staff were yesterday completing a post-mortem examination on the body of the young Romanian, whose throat was slashed after a heated argument between the pair, according to police.
The unnamed victim lived with Hungarian Saba Datlas in an apartment in Las Palomas I, Calle Duque de Extremera.
They had shared an apartment for around six months according to neighbours. Police claim the tragedy followed an argument that went horrifically wrong.
Just before the tragedy, people living on the same floor of the apartment block claimed to have heard shouting and screaming with both men hurling a stream of insults at each other.
