LAST weekend's Conservatives Abroad International Autumn Conference in Majorca was a huge success according to the Chairman of Conservatives Abroad Majorca, which hosted the annual event, Peter Newey.
A total of 46 delegates attended from international branches of the party around the world and 90 people attended the welcome and closing dinners.
The main theme of this year's conference was overseas voter registration and Newey said yesterday that the international Conservative election campaign is to begin immediately with members targeting key British locations around the island in a drive to encourage as many expatriates as possible to register to vote and, preferably, vote Conservative.
We're going to be taking our campaign to where large groups of British residents meet, said Newey,
