Out of a total Balearic budget of 3,875 MILLIONEUROS just 75 million for tourism

Palma.—The Balearic government announced their budget for next year yesterday with just 74 million euros being spent on tourism from a total budget of 3,875 million euros.
The tourism department also has responsibility  for sport  as well so the actual tourism budget is much lower.
The  budget  draft also revealed yesterday that almost  960 million euros will be spent on servicing the government´s enormous debt which will rise by a further 20 percent next year as the government battles to bring spending into line.
