Palma.—Balearic University professor, Montserrat Jaen, was yesterday named as the new Director General for Tourism.
Born in Mahon, Minorca, will replace Jaime Martinez who has taken over as Minister for Tourism.
Jaen has a degree in tourism and a masters in Tourism Management and Planning and prior to taking up her post at the university in the tourism and economic department, she worked in the private tourist sector.
