Palma.—One of the allegedly corrupt members of Scotland Yard’s force tasked with investigating the murder of Stephen Lawrence in 1993, Detective Sergeant John Davidson, has lived in Minorca for the past 15 years where he owns the well known Smugglers’ Bar/ Restuarant in Binibeca Vell, Sant Lluís, an apartment and a chalet nearby. He also apparently owns property in the United States where he and his wife Evelyn sometimes spend the Winter.
And now he is under the media spotlight after a fresh inquiry into police procedures has been ordered by the Home Secretary.
