Only one in every five people aged 30 or less who are unemployed in the Balearics get some sort of government help, and only one in three receives financial help.

Palma.—According to a report published yesterday by the  1 May Foundation, which compares the amount of benefit and government support claimed in the different regions of the country, there are over 70,000 people unemployed in the Balearics who receive no financial help of any kind.
Enrique Negueruela, member of the work department for the foundation explained the report, which takes into account the region, age, gender, interaction with the job centre and amount of monthly payments made, reveals women are the group which, for reasons that have not been provided, have received less support.
When it comes to young people, (up to  30 years old) only 21.9 percent are receiving some sort of financial help.
